Release 286 Release Notes - November 2026

This page contains details of new and amended functionality included in the software update scheduled for November 2026, known as Release 286.

Full patient sync sets all patients as inactive before checking API account is valid

(Internal Reference D10-16952)

What have we done?

Improved the patient sync routine so that it cannot run and set statuses until the API details have been fully validated.

Why have we done this?

The patient sync is setting patients to inactive before verifying the API details are correct, and then cannot complete the sync and set the status correctly.

How will you benefit?

Patient sync will only run if API details are valid Details of the change The API details are checked first and the failure detected preventing the patients being set to inactive

DTA Installation and Update Process Handling Improvement

(Internal Reference D10-16057)

What have we done?

Improved the uninstall, install and update process for the DTA to reduce failure scenario

Why have we done this?

In instances where the DTA is updating, if an old version of the DTA is being uninstalled, it causes a fatal error in the process, leaves the DTA in a partial/broken install state, leading to subsequent /install failures.

How will you benefit?

DTA installation and updates will no longer conflict and leave DTA broken and needing remedial action

Details of the change

When DTA auto-update and admin uninstall run concurrently, Windows Installer single-instance behaviour results in a fatal error. Change made to the include a “busy pre-check” before starting any update/installation to avoid the conflict and fatal error.

XXX-XX2 – Patient data synchronisation

(Internal Reference D10-16691)

What have we done?

Expanded the xx2 tooling to match for merged sites

Why have we done this?

To improve the xxx to xx2 tooling

How will you benefit?

Xx2 tooling readiness

Details of the change

Improved the logic so that the NHS number provided by EMIS is matched against the patient document. Where no match is found, a validation is done as to if the site has been merged and if so, the check will be done against the new merged site. Files will fail conversion if they do not match.

Scotland - Deleted Document Migration - Provide Audit.Txt file with Document download

(Internal Reference D10-17072)

What have we done?

Included notes, tags, comment and audit information in a new .txt file for Deleted Documents

Why have we done this?

Scotland requested a change so that had additional information pertaining to deleted documents that they recover

How will you benefit?

Notes, tags, comments and audit information will be available for deleted documents

Details of the change

A new audit.txt file will be created when deleted documents are captured from DM7, and will then be available to download in the deleted documents process in DM10. This will also change the download process, in that all downloads will now be zipped (previously a single document was not zipped, but a single document will now also have the additional audit.txt file, so will be zipped as well)

(Internal Reference D10-16983/D10-17218)

What have we done?

Updated the GP2GP Export to handle re-export before eLinks has been run

Why have we done this?

When the same patient (who already exported before) is exported more than once within a time window where eLinks has not yet processed the initial export, the second export overwrites the existing XML file and updates the HL7 Present field to Yes.

How will you benefit?

The HL7 value and XML file will be as expected

Details of the change

Code change.

Scotland – SCI Gateway unable to attach files with invalid zero file size

(Internal Reference D10-16911)

What have we done?

Created tooling to remedy invalid zero file sizes which occurred during migration from DM7 to DM10. The fix to prevent the erroneous zero file sizes is delivered via D10-17170 and was deployed in a hotfix post Rel 283. This will prevent this happening for further migrations.

Why have we done this?

To enable the SCI Gateway to attach the files

How will you benefit?

Failure from zero file size is removed

Details of the change

One off tooling to remedy any Scotland sites that have already migrated and have documents with zero file size.

Scotland D75500 Prison services patient sync failing since update to 75500

(Internal Reference D10-16975)

What have we done?

Resolved the issue with the Patient sync for Prison Services

Why have we done this?

Patient sync was failing.

How will you benefit?

Patient sync for Prison services will run successfully

Details of the change

Rebuild of the Prison Services patient sync process, reinstallation and rerun
