Release 276 Release Notes - June 2026

This page contains details of new and amended functionality included in the software update known as Release 276.

GP Workflow Assistant Code Selector OFF as default for all organisations and users

(Internal Reference D10-16046, D10-15787)

What have we done?

We’ve updated the default for the clinical code toggle selector. All user must now manually select the code they would like to file to the patient record. There is no longer an option for codes to be selected by default.

Why have we done this?

To ensure all clinical codes are actively reviewed before being sent, reducing the risk of incorrect or unintended diagnoses being recorded.

How will you benefit?

Clinical codes will only be sent after active user selection, helping improve accuracy and reduce the risk of incorrect information being passed to the clinical system.

Details of the change

We’ve updated the GPWA coding workflow to ensure clinical code suggestions are not automatically applied. The default behaviour now ensures coding suggestions are turned off unless explicitly selected, requiring users to actively choose which codes should be sent to the clinical system. This provides better control, improves safety, and ensures a consistent review step before any clinical data is recorded.

Clinical Code Visibility Notification

What have we done?

(Internal Reference D10-16248)

We’ve added a notification in GP Workflow Assistant when users choose to file AI-generated text to the Clinical System with the document.

Why have we done this?

To ensure users are aware that information sent to the Clinical System may be visible to the patient unless visibility settings are updated in the Clinical System.

How will you benefit?

This provides a clear reminder at the point of action, helping users make informed decisions before sending information to the Clinical System.

Details of the change

If the 'Add to Clinical System' option is selected, a notification will display: "The Clinical system by default will display information on the Patient's online care record. Please update in the Clinical system if you do not wish it to be visible to the Patient". The notification must be acknowledged before the user continues and will be displayed each time the option is switched on. The toggle behaviour remains unchanged, ensuring users are informed while maintaining their existing workflow.

WFA SNOMED performance Improvement

(Internal Reference D10-15905)

What have we done?

We have made an improvement to how SNOMED term lookups are handled within the system.

Why have we done this?

To improve the speed and performance of SNOMED term searches within the application.

How will you benefit?

A faster response times when searching or working with SNOMED clinical terms.

Details of the change

This enhancement helps the system retrieve clinical terms more efficiently, resulting in improved performance and a faster user experience during search operations.
