Follow the process here:

  1. From the home page, select Settings
  2. Navigate to Users > Users
  3. Select a user's profile
  4. To the right of the Full Name field, select the Link user to Emis Web button
  5. In the list that opens, search for the corresponding EMIS user
Please Note: This list a chronological order of all active users in EMIS, even those linked to Docman users already.
  1. Select the user, select Confirm
  2. Select the green Update button
Please Note: By linking users, this will bring across the exact name from EMIS, and change the Full Name field to non-editable, displayed as light grey.
  1. Repeat steps 3-7 for ALL users

Enabling Single Sign On

Once all users have been linked to their EMIS clinical system user, you may enable Automatic Sign On for the practice, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Homepage, select Settings
  2. Follow the path: Organisation Settings > Integration > Clinical System
  3. In the Security section, ensure the Automatic Sign On Method dropdown is set to Clinical System
  4. In the Security section, Tick the box Automatic Sign On
  5. Select Update

For the changes to take effect all users must sign out. They must be logged into a current session of EMIS when they attempt to sign in to Docman for the SSO settings to work.
