How to Add or Remove Homepage Web Links

John Austin Updated by John Austin

If there are any websites or web based resources that you access regularly, you can easily add them as a shortcut to your homepage. This could include information like NHS mail, your own practice website or a website that shows other services available in your area.

To do so you must have the user role Docman System Administrator / Docman Supervisor or the feature Configure Organisation Settings assigned to your user role.

Any web link shortcut you create will take effect at an organisation level meaning it will be appear on the homepage of every user within the Practice.

To add homepage web links:

  1. Select Settings > Organisation settings > Web links.
  2. Give the web link shortcut a Name, for example: Docman GP Support.
  3. Copy or type in the URL.
  4. Select Add Web Link. This will then appear under Web Links.
  5. If any weblinks are obsolete, select the x to the right of any current weblink to remove it.
  6. Select the Update button.

By returning to your Homepage you will see the web link shortcut(s) under the Links heading.
