How to Duplicate Documents Once Filed

John Austin Updated by John Austin

This article will describe how to duplicate documents once filed.

When filing a document to a patient record, occasionally there will be a need to file the same record to more than one patient, this can be done one of two methods, the other method is covered in the How to Duplicate Documents Using the Clipboard article.

If the document has already been filed, search for the Patient, and identify the document to be copied.

To duplicate a document once filed:

  1. From the Document Actions panel, select Add to Clipboard. The Document Clipboard field will go bold and show 1 in blue.
  2. Use the Search field to identify the second patient you want to file the document to.
  3. Select the Document Clipboard from the Document Actions panel. The Document Clipboard pop up will appear.
  4. Select the document copied to the Clipboard.
  5. Select the Duplicate button. The document will be filed to the second patient record with the same Filing Details used in the first document.
If the duplicated document requires a review, you can select Tasks from the Document Actions panel, and select Create Review to send to the appropriate user or group.
