245 Release Notes
This page contains details of new and amended functionality included in the software update deployed on 2nd to 10th April 2025.
Scanning manually uploaded files for malicious content
What have we done?
Files which are manually uploaded via the ‘Document Capture’ function in the Console will be scanned for any malicious content before they are uploaded.
Why have we done this?
This feature has been added to increase security
How will you benefit?
This will ensure that the product remains stable and is not vulnerable to attacks via the uploading of malicious content
Details of the change
A new feature has been introduced to scan files which are manually uploaded via the ‘Document Capture’ function in the Docman Connect Console.
Files will be scanned for any malicious content to improve security. If no malicious content is detected, the file should be uploaded as normal. If malicious content is detected, the user will be presented with a warning message which says “Document capture did not complete successfully because the file may contain a virus or potentially unwanted software. Please do not attempt to capture this file again, please contact your local IT Team”.
Resending Documents via the API
What have we done?
A new API call has been created to allow users to resend a document via the Docman Connect API.
Why have we done this?
This new functionality will reduce the admin workload required to resend a document on to a new endpoint
How will you benefit?
Customers will now be able to quickly send a document which is in ‘Rejected’ status on to a new endpoint
Details of the change
A new API call has been created to allow users to resend a document via the Docman Connect API. Previously, the ‘Update & Resend’ functionality, which allows users to resend a document in ‘Rejected’ status on to a new endpoint, has only been available via the Docman Connect Console.
API users can now provide a document GUID for a document in ‘Rejected’ status and a new endpoint ODS code so that the document can be resent. For further information on the new API call including the possible API responses, please refer to our updated API documentation.
