How to Use Auto Start in a Workflow Template

This article will show you how to use Auto Start in Workflow Templates.

Auto Start is a great way of streamlining your filing and workflow process using the Workflow templates created to suit your established your practice. This will enable the user to select the template in the Filing screen when checking the details. A Workflow template with Auto Start enabled will bypass the task creation screen, file the document to the patient record, and begin the Workflow / Task process with one click.

To create or edit a Workflow template:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Tasks > Workflow Templates.
  2. Either select Create New Template, or select an existing template to edit.
  3. Complete the fields on the page, or make the necessary changes as desired.
  4. Select the checkbox for Auto Start (bypassing the creation screen) within your template to enable the function.
  5. Select Save.

A Workflow template enabled with Auto Start will display in the Filing screen as: Template name [Auto Start] in the Create Review drop-down.
