Training Updated by Training

This article will explain how you can restore a deleted patient document from their documents list.

This restoration process is permissions based, and as such a user needs the Restore Deleted Documents feature in their role. It is a default feature in the Docman System Administrator role.

How to restore a deleted document

You must identify the patient that requires the document restoring. Link from a Task, or by searching for the patient, you must be on the Patient Documents screen.

  1. In the Folders panel on the left, select Deleted Documents. The volume of documents will be visible next to the folder name.
  2. Select the document to be restored. The Filing Details will be visible on the left, the document will NOT be displayed.
  3. The reason for the deletion will display in the centre of the screen, select Restore Document from the Filing Actions column on the right.
  4. Type in a reason for the document to be restored.
  5. Select Restore.

The document will return to the patients document list, with ALL the filing information intact.
The history of the document will be reinstated with ALL activity visible from prior to the deletion, and its restoration. Maintaining the high level of visibility Docman is trusted for.
