Release 281 Release Notes - August 2026

This page contains details of new and amended functionality included in the software update Release 281.

Connect Console Select2 Update

What have we done?

(Internal Reference DCMC-3857)

We have updated the Select2 component in the Connect Console and centralised how dropdowns are configured across the application.

Why have we done this?

To keep dropdown functionality consistent and make future maintenance and updates simpler.

How will you benefit?

Users will have a more consistent experience when using dropdowns across the Connect Console, with no change to the existing functionality.

Details of the change

Select2 has been upgraded to the latest version and a centralised configuration has been introduced. Existing Select2 dropdowns across the Connect Console have been updated to use the new approach.

Internet Connect Delivery Console

What have we done?

(Internal Reference DCMC-5183)

We have fixed an issue causing 504 Gateway Timeout errors when capturing and sending documents through the Internet Connect Delivery Console.

Why have we done this?

To prevent the Delivery Console from becoming unresponsive when the OCR process takes too long to complete.

How will you benefit?

Users will be able to capture, send, update and resend documents through Internet Connect without the Delivery Console timing out unexpectedly.

Details of the change

A timeout has been added to the OCR process to prevent it from becoming stuck and blocking further requests. If the OCR process does not complete within the configured timeout, it is stopped and an error is returned, allowing subsequent requests to continue normally.

The timeout is configurable, with a default of 5 minutes.

Connect Performance – Query Optimisation

What have we done?

(Internal Reference DCMC-5303)

We have optimised multiple queries within Connect to improve how data is retrieved and processed.

Why have we done this?

To improve Connect performance and reduce unnecessary processing when users access and work with data.

How will you benefit?

Users will experience faster and smoother performance when using Connect, particularly when working with areas affected by the optimised queries.

Details of the change

Five queries identified through performance analysis have been updated and optimised within the Connect codebase.
